Call your Senators to oppose the START Treaty. President Obama made clear yesterday that he is determined to get Senate approval on the New START Treaty before Christmas. His press spokesman actually predicted that it would happen – thanks, in part, to forward-leaning comments made in recent days by Republican Senators John McCain and George Voinovich. As a reminder to any senators inclined to agree to rubber-stamp this treaty in the dwindling remaining legislative days of the 111th Congress, the Center for Security Policy today rolled out an innovative package of new short videos that illuminate why America’s foes are thrilled at that prospect. The question occurs: If New START is going to be so helpful to our enemies – actual and potential – why is President Obama so insistent on it being ratified: before senators can review the negotiating record (which the administration has thus far refused to supply); before balanced hearings can be held (unlike the stacked-deck ones held so far); and before the 11 newly elected Senators who have asked to be able to participate in the ratification of a treaty that will be implemented on their watch are sworn in [link to their letter]? And why on earth would the United States Senate agree to so? Also from BIGPEACE: Why is Obama Manufacturing a Crisis for START Ratification? Damning New START with Faint Praise
While North Korea is attacking South Korea and our country's economy is in a shambles, Obama will be appearing on Mythbusters. Yes, he wants the boys to test the Archimedes Death Ray myth once again. I have an idea: Why doesn't he have them test and try to debunk the "myth" of his Kenyan birth certificate? Now THERE'S a myth I'd like to see put to the test! http://wasobamaborninkenya.com/
