By Juliet Eilperin Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announced Wednesday afternoon that the Obama administration will not allow offshore oil drilling in the eastern Gulf of Mexico or off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts as part of the next five-year drilling plan, reversing two key policy changes President Obama announced in late March.
We are adjusting our strategy in areas where there are no active leases," Salazar told reporters in a phone call, adding that...

Plan B for Climate Change
With Senate bipartisan talks on climate change in flux, it may seem like Congress won’t be able to get an environment bill done before midterm elections. But there are other ways lawmakers could go.
Last week, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) threatened to walk away from a bipartisan climate bill he negotiated with colleagues Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) days before it was to be unveiled.

It seems that the withdrawal of Graham's support may postpone the legislation until after the mid-term elections. After writing countless letters in oppostion to various propsed legislations, it's good to know that our tireless efforts sometime acheive the desired results.
From an article on Politico:
Climate bill not likely to come up this year

The lies are continuing to be told, ignoring the discrediting of the IPCC reports with all the manufactured data and inaccurate measurements. This is nothing more than an attempt for the libs to save the investment they have made in worthless carbon credits. I'd like to know how much PBO has invested in the Chicago Climate Exchange and how much Gore would stand to lose if this legislation is not passed. I would also like to know how heavily invested the government union pensions a...

You'll notice that I've placed this in the corruption and malfeasance category. Nearly everything congress is doing these days can be considered as such. We need to slam all the cosponsors on this legislation, informing them that we are aware of the massive fraud (more to come on that) that has been perpetuated from all those involved in the IPCC and even at NASA. SInce the globe has actually been cooling for 11 years now, there is no need to consider this economy killing le...

Two tactics on climate change
Some prefer to lobby as others build a grassroots base.
By Ambreen Ali
Two environmental camps are taking starkly different strategies on climate change as lawmakers turn their attention to what could be the next big legislative fight.
Some activists are lobbying lawmakers to pass something this year, even if it's a bil...

Fuel Taxes Must Rise, Harvard Researchers Say
By SINDYA N. BHANOO
To meet the Obama administration’s targets for cutting greenhouse gas emissions, some researchers say, Americans may have to experience a sobering reality: gas at $7 a gallon.
To reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the transportation sector 14 percent from 2005 levels by 2020, the cost of driving...

From Heritage:
Having failed to convince the country that we should reorder one-sixth of our economy (health care) in one fell swoop, liberals in the Administration and Congress are now doubling down and moving on tothe next big thing. This time it’s the transformation of everything, through climate legislation. One could almost stand agape, admiring the boldness of the overreach, were not so much prosperity at stake.
The latest attempt to...

The world's leading authority on climate change announced Saturday it is appointing an independent committee to investigate whether it needs to change its procedures to ensure it practices rigorous science.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, beset in recent months by a string of allegations of factual mistakes and improper scientific behavior in the preparation of its high-profile reports, sa...

Agency delays regulating carbon to give Senate time to act.
By Ambreen Ali
The Obama administration appears to be trying to regain control of the Senate debate on climate change.
Earlier this week, the head of Environmental Protection Agency announced that the agency would put off regulating carbon pollution until 2011.
It might have taken that long to implement the new rules anyway, but analysts say the White Hou...

If you only get your news from the lame stream media, you probably haven't heard about the scandal that has errupted in the past 2 months regarding the loss of credibility of the climate "scientists" who have been advocating for massive new global taxation based on the false claims of man made global warming.
Unless this stupidity is stopped by congress, get ready for having less disposable income as increasing energy costs raise not only the prices at the pump and electrici...

Rush played clips from committee of Barbara Boxer and Lisa Jackson, radical leftists that they are, sticking to their story despite the mountain of evidence against them. No surprise there. I'd like to see all these people prosecuted for fraud.
Way to go Inhofe, not that this will go anywhere with Holder.

Depsite the discrediting of the IPPC and the ensuing resignations, our congressional marxists move forward on what will be the largest taxation ever legislated on the American people. BO has already promised to let the EPA step in and regulate our industries should no legislation be passed. Of all the abominations (health care among the forerunners), this is the one that enrages me most.
If these morons are successful in killing our coal industry, u...

Jamie is a regular contributor to the Neal Boortz radio show and is an excellent source for learning all the dirty little details hidden in the massive bills making their way through congress.
