Certain Americans, however, feel compelled to voice their acceptance of the charter. Prominent figures such ...Read Full Post »

Plan B for Climate Change
With Senate bipartisan talks on climate change in flux, it may seem like Congress won’t be able to get an environment bill done before midterm elections. But there are other ways lawmakers could go.
Last week, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) threatened to walk away from a bipartisan climate bill he negotiated with colleagues Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) days before it was to be unveiled.... Read Full Post »

We'll probably need this a few times before all is said and done this year, so below is a convenient listing. I usually include a statement saying that I will work to support their opposition in the upcoming election - similar to the money bomb that elected a Republican to the Senate seat in Massachusettes. Ten million people giving $10 is $100M = not a number to be disregarded.
The 1st line of phone and fax numbers are for the Washington offices, and the 2nd line...Read Full Post »

The National Right to Work Committee is continuing in their efforts to prevent the passage of Card Check, the effort aimed at unionizing all workplaces. Fortunately for us, Tennessee is a right-to-work state, but the impending legislation is an attempt to undermine that status.
This organization has had many successes in the past year and has stalled the progress of the legislation in numerous ways. It is currently raising mone...Read Full Post »

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.
CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grass...Read Full Post »

The Tea Party Patriots has a site dedicated to bringing about serious changes in government policies. They are polling the public to prioritize the specific items that need to be addressed. I encourage everyone to check out the site and give them feedback. Our participation is absolutely required and this is an important first step to taking back control from the crooks that are now in charge.
